Publication Ethics

IJERMSH is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics for all parties — authors, reviewers, and editors.

Originality: Work must be original. Others' work must be properly cited.
No Plagiarism: All papers are checked via Turnitin — combined Similarity + AI score must be under 10%, or above that becomes returned for review and revision. Self-plagiarism is also unacceptable.
Single Submission: Papers must not be submitted to multiple journals simultaneously.
Authorship: All listed authors must have made genuine scholarly contributions.
Data Integrity: All research data must be accurate, authentic, and ethically sourced.
Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any relationships that might influence their work.

Confidentiality: Treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
Objectivity: Reviews must be objective; personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
Disclosure: Declare any conflict of interest with the manuscript or authors.
Timeliness: Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe (typically 2 weeks).

Fair Review: Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, without bias.
Confidentiality: Do not disclose information about manuscripts to unauthorised parties.
Conflict of Interest: Recuse themselves from manuscripts where conflicts exist.

IJERMSH investigates all allegations of misconduct following COPE guidelines.
Papers may be retracted if serious errors or misconduct are discovered post-publication.
Retracted papers remain visible but are clearly marked with a retraction notice.
